December 2018 Announcement for Importers

Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam to Australia and New Zealand  -  Rate Restoration (RR)

Effective 1st November, 2018 on all shipments from the above ports to Australia there will be a RR

Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Brunei, Vietnam and the Indian Subcontinent (India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh) to Australia – General Rate Increase (GRI)

Effective 1st November, 2018 on all shipments from the above ports to Australia there will be a GRI

Shanghai and Ningbo to Worldwide - Low Sulphur Surcharge (CLS)

From 1st October 2018, China’s Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) requires vessels operating in the Yangtze River Delta to use low-Sulphur fuel not exceeding 0.5% Sulphur levels in order to minimize the emissions of Sulphur oxides from ships. Consequently, to keep services at the level required, there will be a China Low Sulphur (CLS) surcharge to cargo outbound from Shanghai & Ningbo to all destinations worldwide. The CLS will take effect from the 2nd December 2018 (Bill of Lading Date) until further notice.
